DIVERSITY AND ENGAGEMENT WEEKEND (DEW)Sunday, February 15, 2015 (Parent and Student Sessions) andMonday, February 16, 2015 (Senior Sessions)
SUNDAY ACTIVITIES: DEW is designed to help students and their parents learn more about the University community, the admissions process, campus diversity, and all financial aid resources. Assistance in Spanish will be available (asistencia en español va a estar disponible). Participants will meet current students, faculty and staff. Preference will be given to seniors who have applied for admissions but juniors are also welcome to apply. This program is FREE of cost and transportation may be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis (travel vouchers are available for out-of-state students). The event begins on Sunday for all students and parents (free transportation from/to the Chicago area will be available).MONDAY ACTIVITIES: Seniors stay overnight with a current student and all activities conclude on Monday early evening (free transportation to the Chicago area will be available). Seniors attend an Illinois Wesleyan financial aid presentation and FAFSA completion workshop on Monday. Seniors are encouraged to bring a complete copy of the 2014 or 2013 tax paperwork and information regarding any assets, savings, or property value (we strongly recommend you bring the 2014 tax paperwork). The financial aid priority deadline is Sunday, February 1, 2015 (for the FAFSA and IWU Financial Aid Application/CSS Profile).PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY: Final eligibility to attend this event will be confirmed with each student by Wednesday, February 11. Eligibility will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis and will be determined by academic qualifications and available space.
