Multicultural Weekend is an excellent opportunity for seniors who want to explore the diverse community at Illinois Wesleyan University. It is a wonderful opportunity for students with sincere interest in IWU to learn more about the institution and experience campus life. During the visit you will have the opportunity to sit in a class, meet with professors, interview with an admissions counselor, participate in IWU clubs and activities, stay the night in a residence hall with current students, eat the food on campus, and meet potential classmates and/or your roommates! Seniors who have applied for admissions or have been admitted will be given preference.

Participating students will have the chance to interact with IWU campus leaders from organizations such as Student Senate, BSU (Black Student Union), SALSA (Spanish and Latino/a Student Association), SASA (Southeast Asian Student Association), and SAVVI (a multicultural women's group). Multicultural Weekend begins on Sunday, March 24 (the first bus pick up begins at 1pm) and concludes on Monday, March 25 (the bus will depart from campus at 5pm). The event is free and transportation is available from Chicago.

Eligibility will be determined by academic qualifications and available space in the program. All applicants will be notified regarding their final eligibility no later than Friday, March 15.  All participants are required to submit  Overnight Visitor and Medical Authorization Paperwork (both forms will need to be e-mailed, faxed, or mailed directly to our office, 5 days prior to the date of the event).

We hope you will strongly consider joining us for us for Multicultural Weekend!
