Multicultural Weekend is an excellent opportunity for seniors who want to explore the diverse community at Illinois Wesleyan University. It is a wonderful opportunity for students with sincere interest in IWU to learn more about the institution and experience campus at a deeper level. During the visit you will have the opportunity to sit in a class, meet with professors, interview with an admissions counselor, participate in IWU clubs and activities, stay the night in a residence hall with current students, eat the food on campus, and meet potential classmates and/or your roommates!
Participating students will have the chance to interact with IWU campus leaders from organizations such as Student Senate, BSU (Black Student Union), SALSA (Spanish and Latino/a Student Association), SASA (Southeast Asian Student Association), SAVVI (a multicultural women's group) and Engaging Diversity (Social Justice group). Multicultural Weekend begins on Friday, March 28 (the first bus departs at 7:30AM from Whitney Young, second bus departs at 8:30AM from Cracker Barrel in Romeoville) and concludes on Saturday, March 29 (the bus will depart from campus at 1PM). The event is free and transportation is available from the Chicago area. All participants are required to submit Overnight Visitor and Medical Authorization Paperwork (both forms will need to be e-mailed, faxed, or mailed directly to our office, 5 days prior to the date of the event).
We hope you will strongly consider joining us for us for Multicultural Weekend!
