Family Financial Statement

To qualify for a student visa, international students must prove adequate financial support for their first year of study. Students must also demonstrate a reasonable expectation of continued support, without recourse to employment while in the U.S., for the duration of their academic programs. Due to the limited resources available for international students, the International Admissions Committee must consider the students’ ability to finance their education when evaluating applications from students who are neither U.S. citizens nor permanent residents. Therefore, it is in the applicant’s best interest to be honest about his or her family’s ability to pay, including the exact amount the family is able to contribute to an Illinois Wesleyan education.
